Why is that a hipster thing?

Or is that the new deal - everything different is "hipster"?

ETA: Look into float tanks before you dismiss it. I've always wanted to try one.

I hope they can wear their fedoras whilst they vape and float on.

It's supposed to be very enlightening.... akin to taking psychedelics.

It'd be cool to try but no way am I getting in that tank. I've known people who've gotten trapped in shite like that before and I'd never be able to relax.

Ever see the movie "Altered States"?

In that movie, some weird shite starts to happen when floating in water and add in sensory deprivation.

I wonder how many people float before they change the water.

Just for kicks, I would like to put this right beside the ocean just to see how many people would still pay to float in a tank of salt water....

Dude, this is in Hipster Mecca. Dirty water only adds to the charm.

Considering they are not at all the same thing, I would still pay.

I first got interested through Joe Rogan's podcast. He has one in his house.

ETA: Didn't realize there was such a misconception about sensory deprivation tanks.

ETA2: Looks like we've got one in Baton Rouge. I will be trying it soon.

I'm selling sensory deprivation from my house.

Come sit in my easy chair and let my family ignore you like they do me.

NOLA float tanks has been around for a few years. It can be a very trippy experience and I thought it was much cooler than I expected.

I am wondering about something...

since Epsom salts are a laxative, and you are to float around in 800lbs of it, do you go home and shite your brains out when done?...
