Similar to Chic filet. How is this not easily replicated? People are dying to pay for great quality and service.

They're fricking huge...would take considerable investment.

Owner is an aTm prick. Someone just needs to create a giant gas station and market it as a nutria rat.

The sugared almonds are good. The brisket sandwich is a nice change from a fast food burger. When traveling with my family, Buc-ees is a top choice when someone requests a "humanitarian break."

I love buccees these days. My perception has changed. I now view it as the great gas station ever. It attracts the hordes and i can go 1 exit further and gas up with nobody at the old dirty station. Makes my pit times amazing

I just noticed a Cinnabon sign on a Schlotzky's the other day. Guess they've changed their business model to recover from the death of safe suburban shopping malls.

go take a shite at a Chevron, and then take one at Buc-ees - then get back to us.

the appeal is you can get so much more, and in some regards better quality food items than most other gas stations, not to mention more gas pumps so easier in and out most days

I stopped at a place in Illinois that wasn’t a Buccee’s, but it was exactly the same.

Not to mention the fact that the employees are polite and the place is clean (not just the bathrooms).

I don’t think I’d say it’s excitement. It’s enthusiasm for an exception to the common nasty truck stops/gas stations with a turd floating in the urinal and some methy surly cashier and sketchy frickers loitering about.

I was thinking this would be like a People of Walmart thread. Because they are the same; the people, that is.

If I put some pumps in front of an Academy sports, would it just be a gas station?

I only take a dump in gas station bathrooms in an emergency.

Quality food? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! It's a gas station. I get quality food at home or in a nice restaurant.

Do you know what I want at a gas station? Cheapest gas and I get and maybe a bottle or can of something to drink.

Oh...and maybe a coffee from Speedway.

People joke about it on here but we go to Destin several times a year and always stop at the one in Alabama near the Fla. line. Clean bathrooms and pretty good BBQ. We always stock up on containers of BBQ for the 1st night's dinner. The only time we don't go is if it is midday on a weekend in which case there will be a massive traffic jam trying to get in and out of the parking lot.

Good for you. The rest of us want some decent accommodations when stopping.

In all seriousness, I wish Bucees was more widespread when I was driving back and forth between Louisville and Northern Mississippi a few years back. Driving by myself, I wasn't stopping at shady arse gas stations so it was pretty much Loves.
