First dance song - wedding

I just attended a NYE wedding in Greenville. The first dance song was somewhat...uncomfortable. You guessed it, the bride and groom danced to George Michael's "Father Figure".
I'm assuming that this wasn't planned all along and George's passing had something to do with it. Nonetheless, it was creepy and the bride's father did not look too pleased. :lol
What do you think? Obligatory OT trashy? Inappropriate? Hilarious?

Seems like an odd choice but it isn't that bad.
That song is like 6 minutes long and is kinda slow. That would be my beef if i was the groom.
