Lex Luger was so underrated. Maybe one of the more underrated wrestlers of all time.

Kevin Nash one of the most overated wrestlers of a time. shite on the mic, shite in ring skills, etc. More boring than watching paint dry. Absolute polar opposite of Scott Hall.

Right, but he was still a beautiful stallion type character which is why he has an acting career. I know that sounds gay AF, but this is a wrasslin thread, so it’s all inherently gay anyway.

A friend of mine was his agent for a while. Apparently he’s a shitbag of a human, which is a bummer.

It annoys me because if Kevin Nash had only been 6'1" - he wouldn't even qualify to be a jobber for preliminary matches at house shows.

He's also a super lib like T-boy and the reason his only son is dead.

His son lived with him and he let him be an alcoholic. Then got him to stop cold turkey and the kid had a seizure and died.

This is such a surreal era to have experienced as a fan.

Pro wrestling is presently in a boom period following the arrival of AEW and departure of Vince, and it’s even covered on ESPN periodically, yet it’ll never again achieve the mainstream heights as the Monday Night Wars did in the late 90s.

The night Nitro killed itself in a lot of fans eyes - all of the goofy finishes at the big ppv's for two solid years followed by that was the coup de grace.

By summer 99, Nitro was well on its way down. That show at the Superdome was horrendous.

When the hometown No Limit Soldiers got booed during their concert on Nitro.

Jim Crockett Promotions was the best wrestling territory of all time. The folks in the Carolinas absolutely loved rasslin. When it became WCW, it lost its appeal, but the NWO was such a golden opportunity. Having guys from a Yankee company come in and try and take over was the perfect angle to get the traditional Southern fans back. Too bad Hogan had creative control and almost half the roster was in the NWO by 1997.

I had second row ringside for that garbage. The very last night I paid any attention to WCW.

Wasn’t Luger kind of known for being a shitty technical wrestler? He absolutely had the look, but lacked the in-ring skill IIRC from docs and interviews I’ve seen over the years.

Raven was the most annoying in WCW. Along with his flock.

Luger had 2 moves and was horrible on the mic.
