Happens in N.O. all the time. I hear them at least 3 days a week at my house in Mid-City and if I go fishing the Miss. River in Braithwaite, it's going to happen a few times a day.
They don't fly real high and are loud as hell when they fly by, usually in formations of 3 with one in the lead and two trailing out to the sides in a triangle pattern.
