I've recently been trying to listen to more podcasts. They're something I can listen to at work, but also a nice change of pace in free time at home instead of TV.
I love Pardon My Take, it's hilarious and a refreshing/interestingly different type of sports show.
Revisionist History has also been really interesting in the few episodes I've listened to.
What are some of your favorite podcasts? Particularly educational ones? I'd like to learn a little more about things to help me do the whole adulting thing. (Personal finance, career development advice, Etc)

BBC - Desert Island Discs -- A celebrity is interviewed and plays their favorite records. A lot more interesting and entertaining than it sounds. On the air since 1942. 500+ episodes online -- I've listened to about 40-50, including Paul McCartney, Randy Newman, Mel Brooks, and even Field Marshall Montgomery (from 1969).
In Our Time -- BBC History roundtable discussion
BBC Podcasts -- the BBC still makes great radio documentaries, especially Radio 4
Old Time Radio Drama -- Sort of like very short audio books

quote:Music and the Spoken Word (a product of the LDS Church) has been broadcast live weekly every Sunday morning since July 15, 1929 from Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
On the air since 1942 -- it's the second oldest radio series in the world (after the Grand Ole Opry).

Not a big fan at all of podcasts but there's two that I think are funny and they're the only two I've ever listened too. If I'm having trouble sleeping I'll take something, put it on a sleep timer, then listen to it and let it out me to sleep.
1. WTF with Marc Maron
2. The Adam and Dr. Drew Show

I've only gotten into Hardcore History by Dan Carlin. If you have a few hours to burn, I suggest listening to it. He is a master story teller

Jocko Podcast - retired Navy Seal does a podcast on life, leadership, and discipline. He's a legit badass, and his podcast is well worth the listen. He'll get you to start "adulting" pretty damn quick.
I listen at 1.5 speed, though

99 Percent Invisible. They go into the history and origins of everyday things no one really thinks about. Pretty interesting stuff.
