Kabuki and the green mist that he would sprew in other guys face

Bruh, we were close to the ring in Shreveport as a kid and the Great Kabuki spit the green mist and we were scared shitless it was going to get in our eyes and make us blind. Good times.

My favorite gimmick was probably the coal miner's glove.

I'd say either Kabuki and the green mist, or George the animal steel eating turnbuckles......or maybe the whole Stagger Lee saga...

Best gimmick was kabuki and the green stuff.

Also adrian adonis kissing the other wrassler was hilarious. When i was that young i had no clue what a fig was..... and laughed my arse off at that punk.

Rock n roll express, kabuki, jyd, jake the snake, Kamala, Skandar Akbar, iron cage match, coal miners glove, and a foreign object. good times as a yougern. We didn't have cable so KALB was the goto for wrasslin as I recall.

Forgot the big cat Ernie Ladd.

Skandar Akbar.

The fact that a middle eastern guy who was rich with oil money would give a shite about a regional wrestling promotion (Mid-South), much less want to take it over (with his various wrestlers recruited from around the world) is golden.

Honorable mention goes to Friday (not Kim Chee). Kamala's "handler" in a wresting mask and safari hat. Kamala was such a savage that even Akbar couldn't communicate with him, so he had to go thru Friday.

We use to drive to Atlanta every week to watch my uncle wrestle at the Omni in the 80's. He was Invader II and he was also Mr.Wrestler I. His real name was Roberto Soto. I remember his partner while he was an Invader supposedly killing another wrestler after the match. When I was a kid it was so real. I grew up hanging out with the Armstrongs and all I wanted was to be a wrestler when I grew up. When Roberto and my aunt got divorced I stopped going but I still enjoy watching even though it will never be as real as it was when I was young.

Mid South days when they would challenge each other to an arm wrestling match on a card table in the center of the ring. Sometimes with the added danger of candles. Always ended in a broken table and the steel chairs flying
