When I went out west, cali, I saw a lot of guys rocking top knots, will this trend catch on here or will I be the only one?

Same. I'm not a fan of the ponytail. I do like the sides shaved with the top longer and pushed back. More "Peaky Blinders-ish".

Yeah man, if you were in HS in the mid-90's and were white, there's a pretty good chance you had that haircut. All my friends had it for a year or two.

Just to correct the majority here, this was popular in '89-'91 or so. Not '96 or later.
