is this the same course I explored while driving back to NOLA from Grand Isle. Couple "niceish" houses, guessing $350K, and a golf course over an old cane field with some links style mounds and bunkers.

That being said, I'll gladly hack and drink my way thru it to a toon of 95ish.

Location sucks, course is awesome. Conditioning is top notch

And the lots are 100k, houses much more

It's a few posters that think it's a funny shtick

Good course but it's not life changing or anything

It's the most consistent in the area condition wise. Greens are great all year long

Young course with no trees at this point. Layout is interesting, but not particularly hard. As you say, it's in a cane field, so the surrounding landscape is pretty blah. However, short of squire creek and maybe a few others, I don't think you will find better greens in the state right now. The thing that separates La Tour from most everywhere else is that it is in impeccable condition.

I haven't played squire this year, but the greens certainly wowed me. I have never seen anything even close to that fast.

The course itself was relatively easy tee to green. But if u r on the wrong part of the green over there u r praying for a 3-putt. I watched a guy lip out a 3 foot uphill birdie putt on number 3, the putt went around the cup and rolled right back past him and he had a 50 foot par putt. Those things can roll.

For who? The white boot, oil field, agriculture, BP scam ballers? I'll fit right in for 8 months a year once the exit strategy kicks in. ETA 2022

Visit some bent grass.... or head to Fallen Oak or Old Waverly, golf down south sucks in general compared to up north

Yeah, I'm playing a lot of older mature courses. Mature tree lined fairways, elevation/contour changes and lush conditions for 4 or 5 months. Don't ask about the other 7 months.

Never played old waverly. Will look into it. Thanks for heads up. I played fallen oak a few times. Love that course, but at least when I played it, the greens weren't nearly as fast as squire. Much more to it tee to green though. But thank god they re-did those bunkers!
