Tl;dr: Do ticket prices drop right before game time?
I’ll be in Atlanta on other business and am thinking about grabbing a single ticket to the SECCG.
My gut tells me that prices on a single should drop right before game time as people try to dump tickets that would go unused.
Is this a safe assumption, or should I lock in now?

I bought some last year a couple of hours before the game for about half as much as they were the previous day. Went from like $600 to $275 per ticket.
