Yeah, the guy was a total dick and probably had it coming to him, but I'm also not excited that he's going to be on the poverty line the rest of his life for a non-criminal mistake.

Social media can be really frightening sometimes. It can frick your life up, it gives idiots like this guy a hell of a platform to destroy your reputation and credibility. It can give assholes a tool to stalk people.
Hell, even Tigerdroppings is Social media and it ruined a Judge's career even though he did that on his own accord completely.

If you're a successful person or have your own brand, you're living in a glass house with a bunch of retarded Randy Johnsons with buckets of rocks, waiting on you to say a racy joke or lose your cool. It's ridiculous.

Not really. Actions have consequences. He learned that the hard way.

Social media my be the biggest and most important venue of free speech and free information the world has ever known in its history but it's still not completely innocent as its a big fat monster that is quite capable of destroying lives, ruining reputations and fueling dangerous social movements and it already has done so.
If you're successful and have decent money, watch what you say and where you say it. You never know who's watching and if they're recording.

But he wants another job like his old one and refuses to get the best job he can for himself because its not as good as his old one. He's an entitled idiot.

I actually have met this guy about twenty times, through work. He was on his honeymoon when he left the resort to go meet what he thought was a young girl. He is in prison now.
His boss said he will not be re hired when he rolls out.
He is a little odd but we were all floored when he was arrested.

Let's be clear about something. Social Media doesn't ruin anyone's career, life, etc. The people that posted the dumb crap in the first place did. Where's the personal responsibility?
