This isn't about not congratulating her on her day of graduation. This is about her being ate the frick up texting on her phone while in a moving formation. If you don't have any idea how ate up that is, then don't comment.

You don't even walk and talk on your phone when your by yourself while in uniform(At any military installation). You definitely don't fricking text or have your phone out while marching in formation. Period.

I shudder to think of the reprimand I would have gotten for pulling that in uniform in public in college

I still think it is inappropriate to be texting at that time,or even to have your phone in your hand.

It would seem to me, that after all that happened to get you to that point,you would want to remember the entire experience.
