Any of you ever take Epsom salt baths?

What health benefits did you experience ?

Yes. I also read a lot about them, and the benefits are speculative at best.

Not a bath but I put my ankle in tub with it when I sprained it.

It actually really helped the swelling. Hurt like hell cause you can feel the pressure.

I take one every now again. Especially if I feel a little sick. It might be a mind thing but it seems to help.

I've done them several times in the jacuzzi when I've pulled my back. I put way more than called for each time. no noticeable difference for me.

Bath salts relax you, but then you eat your neighbor's face off. It's a toss up.

Good for a warm soak for sore feet. Never tried it as a catalyst for shiting though.

I tried it one time, but a piece of salt went up my butt.

I take them every now and then. They help calm me down when I'm stressed. As one poster said, benefits are speculative.

Tried it once. Didn't seem like it cleaned as well as soap and water.

It's magnesium sulfate, same thing as milk of magnesia, right?

kind of an old school remedy to get rid of soreness and help with skin conditions...I am not sure whether it actually does anything or not, but like most home remedies, I would guess that it is no miracle worker, but that ther is a little truth back in there somewhere...

fwiw, it makes damn good fertilizer for a garden, too...

Works in zinc plating, too.

I get the Mr. Teal's Milk and Honey Epsom Salt. shite smells great, removes soreness when my back decides to go all wonky, and puts me right to sleep. I think they have lavender and eucalyptus scents too.

do you just squat over a pan of it or what?....hell, you could even just dangle your nads in a teacup of the stuff and then when done, take a couple of swallows to keep you regular

Probably the same. Know it works along the same mechanism.
