How much was the tab?

$130 per the restaurant manager. She kinda indicated in the video that if it was a smaller amount, they'd have let it go, but since he walked out on a tab over $100, she wanted him to pay it.

I don't ask for any veteran discounts. The only time I get them is when a cashier sees my ID card.

I never served i've had a number of friends that served both as officers and enlisted I have family members that are officers now in the military and what they go through war is dehumanizing if you know history you know how war can tear at a man's soul

But I think a lot of this is how we are glorifying victims and victimhood and you don't know the pain I've been through so you owe me something automatically and I get it i've gone through **** the past 4 years that makes me angry at the world and very angry at God but I'm not the only one who's gone through it and the simple fact of the matter is my issues are with my own life and God and that's between me and me and me and God and I don't indulge in the victimhood of the victim mentality that society encourages

I don't know whether this man did serve i'm sure it's already come out probably mentioned this thread even if he did serve even if he did see horrible things this sort of behavior shouldn't be tolerated he should have been arrested
the police were way too nice he walked out on a tab that's theft put him in this little holding cell in the airport make him accountable so he is encouraged to get the help he needs because only he can make that choice

Everybody deserves help
but first when things are that bad you have to admit that you need help none of us achieve anything alone getting better is one of those things but if we have anything in life that we earned good or bad it's because of the actions that we took

Get help

Is that the guy who hit the old man in the parking lot a few years ago? Did he get convicted?

He got a puff piece on Nola.com. After that seems like the story got CRUSHED.

I know it is some what taboo to say but not all Veterans are good people. I served with a few that were total pieces of shite. Even the nobliest of professions have their percentage of bad people.

The % that experience anything like this is low. The ones who do, usually experience a lot. Most experience none.

The worst part about war for most is the fact that Green Beans coffee can't replicate their CONUS Starbucks order.

I still don't understand how it happened. I believe him that they asked for a card when he opened the tab, because they literally do that everywhere. especially if it gets up to $130.

they shouldve been able to still charge the card on file and add a standard 20% tip.

Stupid people do dumb shite.

Many, many times as a 1SG, I had to deal with jokers getting drunk and acting a fool, embarrassing both themselves and the military.

If you're going to act stupid, you sure as shite better have a battle buddy or two with you.

2) a veteran but never saw combat

Vast majority of OEF/OIF veterans never saw combat. I am probably closer to bullets flying around me living near Memphis than anything in my nearly 26 years in the military. Military is a slice of the American population, mostly decent people and a few at the extremes. Thankful for the time I've done but will be happy when my retirement orders are in my hands in a few months.

Why is it taboo? It’s a great, honorable profession for many people. But for others it’s a jobs program. Often it’s a career of last resort.

Ever been on a base in Iraq? I assure it's not fun. Even the green zone was attacked regularly

"Don't touch me like I'm a little kid"

"Don't talk to me like I'm not a police officer"

It’s videos like this that do make me sympathetic to police and what they are asked to do.

Nearly every interaction they have with people is tense, and 95% of people they deal with lie to them from the jump.

That said, cops as ticket writing and asset stealing tax collectors can die of penis aids.
