I was 9 years old. We out boating on the tefunctche. We had stopped eating burgers from Badeaux's while waiting for the bridge to open so we could go to the lake, when it came on the radio.

My dad had some Elvis 8-tracks that we'd listen to when we'd go hunting.
I remember the way Kentucky Rain sounded over the 1978 Dodge van's speakers...good memories.
