Electric Cars - the biggest scam?

I don't get electric cars. Every automaker is doing this feelgood bs of claiming they're going all electric by 2030 or something.
1. You need a very expensive charger in your house
2. Your city/neighborhood does not have the grid capacity
3. There are not half enough power plants
4. We can't pull our heads out of our asses to decide what kind of power plants are safe to build (coal=bad nuke=war natgas=fracking)
5. Virtually the entire supply chain for batteries comes from unfriendly nations
From start to finish it is a fatally flawed model.
Also, far as I'm concerned, the value of a premium brand is out the window. Porsche's race cars, Cadillac's V8 and tailfins, Mercedes' engineering... all means nothing. It's a giant golf cart.

I plug my tesla into the wall like a laptop. Where are you getting this expensive home charger thing from?

They aren't.
EVs will continue to gain a foothold.

Agree on some of the points, but have you ever been in a Tesla? I had a friend take me for a spin. It was legit fast with no gear ratio...all power.
I cant talk about the cities not having chargers as I will never visit any large shitehole city again.

why do we have a chip shortage again?

Look into some EV related companies and buy stock in them. Start with the company Charger Point

Here are some examples for recharging times: With a single onboard charger plugged into a standard 110-volt outlet, Tesla says you will get 5 miles of range for every hour of charging. From zero to 300 miles would take about 52 hours at that rate.
F-that....

Horses are more than sufficient to get us where we need to go and to plow the fields. We don’t need those noisy gasoline powered horses.

5. Virtually the entire supply chain for batteries comes from unfriendly nations (70% from China so TRUE)
From start to finish it is a fatally flawed model. (FALSE).

EV’s don’t bother me. It’s a niche market opportunity I think is cool. If you want one, get one. And the Tesla is a fricking cool machine.
What does bother me is the overarching narrative that they must be the end all be all, and that the combustion engine should go the way of the dodo bird.
That’s what’s stupid. As you mentioned, it’s not sustainable in the least at this point nor anytime soon.
We didn’t abandon the horse and buggy when the Model-T was created. Nor did we abandon the prop plane when jet engines were created. You let the technology grow organically. The market will do what it will do when you let it live and breathe.
Democrats are stupid in everything they think, believe, and scream about when it comes to economics and how it works with their agendas. It’s pathetic.

The easiest thing would just be running an electrical cord from your house to the plug in that the linemen use up by the wires
