I'm guessing they use MARTA to get Ebola from the airport to Emory University Hospital.

ok. it'd have to be on buses because the train doesn't go near Emory or CDC.

Atlanta = first world country ???

Why they are going to Atlanta:
quote:
“Emory University Hospital has a specially built isolation unit set up in collaboration with the CDC [the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] to treat patients who are exposed to certain serious infectious diseases,” the hospital said in the statement. “It is physically separate from other patient areas and has unique equipment and infrastructure that provide an extraordinarily high level of clinical isolation. It is one of only four such facilities in the country.”

Most of Atlanta, anyway.

So let's allow our unreasoning paranoia to take hold and let two American citizens die overseas instead of bringing them back home and treating them in the most secure disease facility on earth
ETA: Two Americans who were trying to do some good in the world, and who have bigger balls (including the female,) than just about anybody here.
If it's that contagious, it'll get here anyway. You have nothing to fear from bringing these people home on a private jet and rushing them to quarantine at the CDC.

I've noticed your replies before. You are one of the stupidest posters on this site. Literally moronic and unintelligent.

I'm curious as to how the medical workers (doctors) in Africa caught it...you know, the ones wearing the full body anti-contamination suits. I've never yet heard that explained properly.

How screwed up are our priorities? Send a plane all the way to Africa to bring something to our shores that could cause mass death if it broke containment. Don't attempt to free a US soldier that served honorably in Afghanistan and is currently rotting in a Mexican jail after making a wrong turn.

Well, you can thank our current POS president and his cronies for this one. Priorities, man, priorities.

That and Y2K.
But, it's stupid to bring the guy here. CDC or no.
Then again, look at the crew who's running the show.

You guys do know there are far worse diseases that could easily spread into an epidimec in days located in Atlanta. The CDC headquarters are there and one screw up could infect the city fairly quickly.
That being said, it isn't like this guy is going to be out walking the streets giving high fives or stopping to have a beer at your local bar. He is not in good shape and is basically in a bubble. I would think the best place for him would be in or around the CDC and those doctors who have spent their lives figuring out how to contain and battle these things.

Would take a lot more than one screw up. Look at the smallpox mess that just happened. So many screwups but that also shows how lax they were being and not following protocol. I bet they are now though.
