In charge of planning an 8 man bachelor party for next Spring. We are all from DC, and want to get out of the area, but stick to the east coast. AC is definitely out of the question (place is a dump). Trying not to break the bank too bad, due to a couple of the guys in the group also getting married in the later part of next year (droppin like flyes). Here's a few musts and interests:

Musts:
Girls
Alcohol
Good food
Some kind of outdoor activites

Interests:
Golf
Sporting events
Live music

Any help will be appreciated

Toronto is dope, too, but it is ruinously expensive.

Key West -- Spring Break is another.

Thought of Key West. But it seems small and can get repetitive. Is that place overrun with ghays?

Miami has a lot of cool shite to do and the weather is legit in the Spring.

Good bars/clubs, Hard Rock Casino, S. Florida golf, etc

This is your answer. Seriously, based on everything you want, do Charleston. Ever been?

Musts:
Girls - Check. CofC is like 75% female.

Alcohol - Check. Lots of good bars.

Good food - Check. Lots of good restaurants. Stay away from the touristy ones like Hyman's.

Some kind of outdoor activites - Check. Anything you can think of. Golf, fishing, paddle boarding. The list goes on.

Interests:
Golf - Yep.
Sporting events - Yep. Go to a Mud Dogs game.
Live music - Yep. Shouldn't be too hard to find some

Savannah > Charleston

You bite your tongue.

Seriously though, it seems like everyone who is familiar with both cities has a preference of one or the other.

For me, Charleston blows Savannah out of the water. For many reasons.

There are homosexuals in Key West, rest assured.

Overrun? No.

On spring break it will be a shite show party scene of twenty-something drunks -- and there is a small whorehouse, though I've never given them my patronage.

What about Tampa, FL?

-Titty bar capitol of the USA
-Spring training baseball
-World class breweries/beer
-Busch Gardens (if you are into such things)
-Beaches, etc...

Charleston is too hoity-toity. Savannah has some grit to it.

I'm more Savannah than Charleston... probably because I lived there for a number of years.

But you're right... it's definitely a polarizing set of coastal cities

Tampa.

USF girls. Ybor City. Mons Venus. You can touch in Tampa. Deep Sea fishing. Spring Training baseball game or Rays game during the season. The beach.

End thread.

No problem. And BTW, a place like Charleston will be a hell of a lot less pricey than doing a big metropolitan city like NYC, Miami, etc.

Tampa blows Charleston's doors off in regards to bachelor parties. I've been to both for these and it's not even close.
