My expertise is only in bird law, but perhaps if insurance companies and corporations would pay out fair settlements they wouldn't be neccessary. They're intent on screwing someone out of every penny possible creates this situation.

In my opinion we all paid for that pizza through our high auto insurance rates. We are the 2nd highest in the country behind Michigan. Our cost, yours and mine, are driven by the amount of judgements. Our legislature will not change our laws so we continue to pay the second highest rate in the country.
So, while this was a nice gesture, we paid for it.
Thank you to the healthcare workers that have to face this each day while we maintain social distance they walk into it each day.

The guy on the right, DeBosier, his wife is just recovering from a very bad illness. I think she was down for the count for nearly 3 weeks. I don't remember all the details, but it may be associated with COVID-19.
And yes, his wife matches the kind of income he makes.

Well, I know it's obviously complicated, but paying for the full value of the car plus any medical bills would be a good start. How insurance companies can pay less than what you owe is beyond me.
