Delgado blamed the closing on a decrease in business at downtown bars due to a number of factors, including strict enforcement of open container laws and increased competition

Downtown is a massive pain in the arse to get to, park, and walk. Add to that a trashy clientele and mediocre bars and you get what you get.

Varsity probably had a rapper playing that night. The crowd there varies widely depending on who is playing that night. I am sure the same people were asking "When did the Varsity get full of old white men?" when I was down there for a political fundraiser a few weeks ago.

The Varsity books all kinds of acts and events. This quarter or so hasn’t really seen that many hip hop acts as it has in the last year. I’m assuming the cultcha was from last Saturday and potentially this week without looking at their schedule. There’s a lot of people who book venues for cultcha-ed events for homecoming so I’m sure that’s what’s you’re seeing / will see in regards to last weekend LSUHC and this weekend SUHC.

Amen bro. I figured it was a musical act. I just couldn't figure out the demo shift from LSU ball fans in The Chimes to Urban music crowd standing in line outside the Varsity.

Does closing the bar remove his tax debt?
