I've noticed an uptick in posters making declarations that they are being stalked by serial downvoters.

A handful of these complaints might be valid, but I tend to believe most are just paranoid.

I personally like the up/down vote system, I think it tends to keep personal attacks at bay and might minimize cat fights because of the therapeutic effect of the downvote. I imagine many a potential personal insult has been curbed by this system.

But do you think it has caused an atmosphere of hyper-sensitivity around here?

My body is ready for the downvotes.

I like that it gives a voice to those who don't want to actually respond. I would also agree that it tends to keep outrageous posters in line and/or gives me hope that this board isn't as dumb at it seems sometimes.

As long as Kujo's post are getting more down votes than up votes I've got faith in mankind.

I wish there was a all-time ranking list we could see. It seems like a natural evolution of it IMO.

It would be great to see all-time most downvoted and upvoted threads/posts/users and what/who they were

I think what would be better is a Facebook type system where you could actually see which posters are serial downvoters/upvoters.

But then I'm not much of a fan of anonymity and kind of like people to behave with a modicum of personal responsibility.

I'd rather if someone disagrees with a post they have to come out and give their own viewpoint and explain why they disagree.

At the very least it quantifies how stupid they may be.

I do agree that it would be nice to see who made the up/down vote.

I usually reply if I disagree with someone rather than just down vote, but if the OP only has one down vote, I'll down vote them again so the OP doesn't think I'm the only one raining on their parade.

Not really. All is shows is they've got on the wrong side of some who are willing to waste time following them around downvoting everything they post. It's meaningless.

Darth, to be fair, your experiences are not normal, but I can understand why they'd sway your opinion on the matter.

There should be a meter under your Avatar.

Depending on your upvoted and downvoted history..

You are either a TD Heel or TD babyface.

This site should allow you to see who upvoted and downvoted a post like other sites do
