Dog eyes just went weird

Umm for about 3 minutes this evening, my dog got up off the couch and just looked towards me and had both eyes with the third eyelid from the bottom up on his eyes about 2/3 of the way and my dog had the WTF look on his face. Anyone have this happen to your dog before? He's acting fine now and he has been sneezing a little bit for the past few days. But aside from that nothing different.

Your dog just telepathically gave you AIDS.

He saw a ghost and was making you alert to it.
Hope that helps.

Seems that first you should evaluate yourself.

Lock him up in a cage. He could be going old yeller.
Start preparing yourself in case you have to put him down.

Was your dog asleep on the couch? Sometimes the third eyelid can linger for a second right after a dog wakes up.
Edit - It could be allergies too, including allergic conjunctivitis (similar to pink eye but not contagious). All of that said, I would visit a vet if it happens again or you notice any other changes in behavior.

my neighbor whose got 6 dogs came over...his guess was a seizure. Fortunately I have a great vet and just called him so I'll take him in the morning... my mom who saw it start is balling right now as they had their 19 yr old Samoyed put down 2 months ago and it had some strokes before they had to end its suffering.. so she's practically latched onto my dog holding him as my folks watch him all the time when I'm out of town. Just found this video and this is how he was except he was just sitting up with a scared look LINK

Don't mess with anything involving the third eyelid. Straight to the dog ER.

What breed? I know labs are notorious for harmless seizures that will freak you out the first few times you see it. No idea wtf a third eyelid is though...

Let us know what the vet says. I hope everything is ok.
