Selling a truck on craigslist.
Got a text from someone taht says they'll buy it as is for the price I'm asking. He says that all he needs is my paypal account to send payment.
After he pays, He states that he will schedule a "pick up agent" to inspect the vehicle and make arrangements for pickup.
Seems a bit fishy to me.

100% scam. Only deal with someone face to face.

I can smell it from here

So after he pays he wants to schedule a look? Why not?

Yeah I was being sarcastic with my post.
So I use escrow.com for these types of "remote buyers". It shuts down 99.99% of them. the other .01% are actual buyers.

Yes, it is a scam.
For future reference, if you think something is too good to be true, it more than likely is.

Sounds like the deal is 90% done.

The scam works like this:
They pay you and take the truck. Then they call paypal and say they never got what they paid for.
Papal pays them the full amount and then seeks to take that money back from you.
They get your truck and the money.

Only take cash on Craigslist. And even then, go with a friend if it's a lot of cash, and count that shite before you leave.

Apparently you missed my response that my OP was meant to be as sarcasm.

Also, call PayPal with your suspicions and ask them to send the money back to him. What you don't want to do is PayPal money back his way. The scam artist will dispute your transaction and keep your money.
You will be better off if PayPal is aware in advance.

This is what I was guessing was going on.
Call Paypal, explain all of your concerns and get them to reverse the charges back to the "buyer" -- don't try to reverse it yourself.
Tell the "buyer" you chose to go in a different direction and that he will be getting his money back from Paypal.
I would never trust Paypal with this type of transaction, btw. Paypal is not regulated like a bank is and they can just do whatever the frick they want. And they will. They usually side with the buyers, not the sellers, so if you get stuck in a he-said-she-said dispute as a seller, you're fricked. They will also freeze your Paypal account or even charge your connected bank account. That's why I would call them ASAP and get this situation documented.
