My dad waa isted as the executor in a friends will but the will was quiet on the funeral plans. The dead guy had no next of kin.

Now the crematory won't go get his body or issue a death certificate without paperwork from the court but I know that any succession proceeding is going to require a death certificate.

He really is going to bury the guy in the backyard?

Is that legal?

Uh, being cremated.

Nobody wants to do anything w/o someone to pay for it. No next of kin gets them worried.

I'm sure my dad will call a lawyer but I wanted to see if anyone now can exPlain the logic.

According to them since the will doesn't explicitly make executor in charge of funeral they can't issue the death certificate.

My question is if the will did mention it why would they accept the will before a court signed off on it?

I thought they might be worried about a next of kin suing if there was one.

They said that they don't want to pay anything. What else could you do?

Right here:

Do you feel bad for them and want to set up a fund to help pay for a burial?

Where should we send our money to help pay for this poor man's proper burial?

Well first of all that came AFTER you comment so congrats on being able to tell the future and second that wasn't the OP saying that. If you have been drinking all day like me I totally get the mistake but if not WTF?

Well, I am kind of confused but not drinking.

Perhaps I just let somebody else figure out what they really intend to do with this guy's body. I am not qualified to help, and I really am not sure what's going on either.
