Early on, women were claimed to make only about 65% of what men do. Now that number is more like 80%. So one observation from the start is that the gap, whatever its causes, has narrowed since the 1970s.

But why would people claim this is a myth? Two reasons. First, if the critics are claiming that the 80% number means that when men and women with the exact same skills and experience and preferences do the exact same work that women get paid 80 cents for every dollar men do, they are wrong. That is not what the 80% figure shows.

Rather, that number is the ratio of female to male wages among full-time workers, across all kinds of jobs and regardless of the skills and preferences of the workers. That 80% is an aggregate – it is not an apples-to-apples comparison of men and women doing the same work. Thus, the claim that women get paid 80% of what men do for the same work is a myth.

The wage gap that people like Hillary and Bernie cry about compares wages for all full time jobs held by men against those held by women. Women tend to work in jobs that pay less. Welders and plumbers earn more than teachers and social workers. The wage gap is a big myth pushed by lefties and feminists.

Don't mind Vols&Shaft. If it weren't for the objectification of women he wouldn't have been conceived.

Most unproductive for any company with more than two females is when they all cycle together. They don't work and they drive all the men out of the office because of their sync'd hormonal rage syndrome.

No you aren't, you're repeating a lie perpetrated by new age feminists and progressives without doing any actual research or having any actual experience.

Probably won't but it's a reality in the business world.

No it's not... if it was, every business would hire only women... hell, you only got to pay them 70%

The reality is, coming out of college, women make more than men... women who decide to not have children and focus on their work make more then men in the long run as well

If you take into account child birth and other factors of child nurturing such as doctors visits and staying home when the kids are sick, women make less... its because they choose to fit into those societal roles
