I usually do Costco or Kroger depending on whether I have enough kroger points to get the full discount there. I work across the street from a costco and live down the street from a kroger so its easy.

If you have the Costco American Express I think you get a 3% off gas.

Just got this card last month to use for all Costco gas and store purchases. Better than using my debit card.

If so how much cheaper is it to get it there compared to other gas stations around town?

A few cents at my closest location. There are several gas stations within sight of Costco that differ by only a few pennies.

Depends. If you're the type that doesn't know where the cheap places for gas are, you can save about $0.20 or so a gallon. If you're like me and pay attention to where the cheap stations are, you only save about $0.06/gallon.

I do this too. I also tend to get especially giddy when I check out at Kroger and see that we have over 1,000 points and I'll get a buck off a gallon of gas. Unless, like a couple months ago, my daughter takes my oldest son to fill the gas can for the lawnmower. And he get a dollar off of $5.00 worth of gas. Because the lady at the Kroger station asked him if he had a Kroger card. He went back and got the keys from my daughter. And gave the lady the Kroger card and told her to use all the points or whatever when she asked him. And got a dollar off of a gallon of gas. For about a gallon and a half of gas.

I use the Kroger points every month to save some cash on gas. If you look at your grocery store receipt there is some info about doing a survey online for 50 bonus fuel points. Only takes about 2 minutes and you can get an extra 200 points a month.

It takes Visa debt

I like that. All credit cards should be referred to debt cards.
