In b4 all of the Aids, and other various STDs aquired through gay sex, diagnoses.

10 minutes ago, the majority of my body started severely cramping at the same time; Calves, hamstrings, thighs, lower abdomen, upper abdomen, mid back, and lower back. When I say severely, I turned into a board in my chair. It was excrutiating. Never in my life have I experienced anything close to this.

I have been in the sun for most of the day, and got a pretty good sunburn on my arms and shoulders. But the high was only around 75 degrees, and I stayed hydrated. I've had roughly 100 ounces of water today, and my piss is almost clear with just a tiny of yellar. I've also had powerade.

The cramps have subsided a bit but I can still feel a lot of tension in the muscles.

Any thoughts? Is it simply heat cramps or something similar? I've worked in the sun and heat consistently for the past 12 years, and never experienced anything like this.

Well if it's not aids, you'd have to assume it's lupus.

And yet your first thought was to consult the OT rather than go to the hospital or urgent care?

Yeah? So what?

A) no 24hr urgent care within 50 miles of me.

B) The tiny hospital in my town doesn't do shite. They only try to get you comfortable and then send you home to consult your doctor the next day.

Sounds like you just need 6 oz of dill pickle juice and some potassium.

I'd only worry about seeing a doctor if you stayed like that for more than four hours.

ETA At least that's what the commercials say.

lupus

Despite this being a joke, it actually helps a smidge.

I was tested for Lupus twice in December because of another, very different, issue with my muscles. Both times it came back negative, it was actually negative for all auto-immune diseases. But now that you reminded me, I wondering if the tests missed something.

have you only recently become active?

what activities were you doing?

have you been using the same muscles strenuously over the last few days?

do you feel like sweat a lot? more than most people?

have you been restricting your salt intake for any reason over the past few days?

Low levels of calcium, potassium, sodium, or magnesium can cause bad cramps if you've just been rehydrating with water but not replacing nutrients/minerals lost.

Just went to take a piss, just trying to pee made my stomach and back cramp up. Tried to bend over to quietly out the seat down cause another stomach muscle to cramp.

Oh and water pressure was non existent, a slight trickle would be a generous description.

1) no, though this day was a little more active than normal.

2) building am 8ft wide half deck/half set of stairs to get into the above ground pool(OT baller) we bought for our son and nieces. Then 9 holes of gold, with a cart.

3) Eh, I mean working outdoors always means the same muscles get it. But I'm used to it. And I've never had these kinds of cramps, not even close actually, I've only had 1 muscle cramp at a time.

4) I dunno about more than others, but I do sweat a good bit.

5) If I have, its not on purpose. But I know I've had a fair share.
