They are easy if you have a simple return...I have kids, and stuff I can write off for my job. I would rather someone help me get as much back. Like I said...I have always used taxact.I just think a CPA would be a better choice.

Do it myself, but I'm still a student and have pretty simple/straight forward jobs...no need for a cpa.

You're not getting much of a CPA for $100. That's cheaper than H&R Block.

Yeah maybe you should try using a CPA. I don't have enough deductions that are greater than a standard deduction so it isn't worth it for me to itemize.

You should bring tax returns for prior years (preferably 3 years) with you when meeting a CPA for the first time together with all of the pertinent information for the current year. A good CPA will spend more time with you trying to learn the relevant facts and circumstances (personal details) necessary to prepare your return than the time he will spend actually preparing your returns. If you plan on hiring a CPA for more than just your current return, then you should hire one you are comfortable with on an individual level since you will be sharing intimate information with the CPA over the years. So you might want to consider meeting more than one CPA before deciding who to hire.
