Is it really built in the price already and Uber doesnt want drivers accepting tips?

Is there a reason you doubt it?

It's not built in and Uber encourages drivers to tell customers that no tip is necessary. Uber drivers don't make squat. I tried it for a while just to see if I might want to semi-retire into that but it wouldn't be worth it.

Im not necessarily doubting anything. Some people say they do tip a little bit and others say youre not supposed to. Just asking around, no biggie.

They are making plenty money for what it is. Save your tips for your pizza drivers.

If I'm in a new city and the driver gives me some recs on food and entertainment, I'll tip a bit.

I dont, but it is a denied 3x rule. Ask them the times and they will accept. Or is it 4 times.

I only tip on rides less than $7

?? Sorry not following you. Are you saying drivers are supposed to decline a tip 3x from same rider but if rider insists a 4th time, then take the $?

Yes, that is the response I got when I asked.

Basically they deny the tip several times.

Usually if/when I leave one it is quickly on their center console so there is no debate.

A lot of no tip industries have that sort of policy allowing the employee to accept instead of an extended awkward standoff.

I'll add I don't tip and my rider rating is like 4.9 stars so it seems it's not an issue for drivers I've had
