Do you think LSU would take away the "fightin' tigers" nickname bc civial war connection?

Does anyone even refer to LSU as the fightin tigers anyway? I mean I know that that phrase exists and is perfectly acceptable, but I don't think I've heard it said in public or on a broadcast ever.

Hey now, let's not forget the Parade Grounds. LSU was, after all, the West Point of the South at one time and numerous future Confederate military leaders learned to march there.
