Yes, effectively starting WW1.

If you are in a fireworks factory and you light a match, aren't you the one responsible for the ensuing chaos?

If you are the spark that lights the fire, you still started it.

I saw on the news today that this man killed himself by driving in front of an oncoming train and I said, out loud, "I hope that was rebeloke"

I'm sad to see that it wasn't

When Lincoln laid his pimp hand down and made the Emancipation Proclamation, all that did was state a goal and was largely symbolic. While it did keep freed slaves from being reclaimed by their former owners, it didn't free anyone. The South was already in rebellion and trying to free the slaves in the Confederacy would be met with "Bite me, Lincoln."

One of the more egregious lies in history, IMO. This slapdick has his own day and did absolutely nothing, in the grand scheme of things.

Well, more because of the domino effect of all the alliance treaties, but that event was the trigger.

Although I don't agree with all your proposed "lies", I started to figure out that what we are taught to believe growing up is largely bullshite around college.

I remember the day I was telling a friend, " isn't it weird to know that your parents aren't really as smart as you always thought them to be?".

Quite a paradigm shift. And it's just continued as I've gotten older.Rarely are things what you think they are.

I remember in elementary I had to sing the "We had a Dream Song."

I also remember in highschool how the civics teacher (black woman) was talking about how white women were attracted to white men during slavery times.

I was taught that Christophere Columbus found america when it was really some guy name Americo instead.

I was taught that we won the Vietnam War

I was taught that we won the Korean War

I was taught that Robert E Lee was a great man.

I was taught that Muslim was going to be a major threat due to the nature of their way of thinking.
