If so, why?

Are you considering it due to the new DOE secretary?

If you do already, do you think you should have a say on how public schools are run?

Why is choice bad?

I have a 3 year old. He will not be home schooled.

Hell no.

If we ever have a girl it's Catholic school until college. If it's a boy he'll have the privilege of attending the best high school in NOLA.

Why limit yourself, when he could go to the best in the state right across the lake in Covington? Can't get him in? Need a letter of rec?

We don't believe in limiting our children to traditional "education".

We use "Free Learning". It encourages them to explore their own environments and leave me the frick alone.

Jesus God man, if you spend one quarter of the time raising your kid as you do on here, he'll be fine.

This is just my 2 cents which means nothing, but if kids are being home schooled, it should be required for them to have some type social interaction with peers, on a regular basis.

This is something I saw on Facebook. A local SJW is all triggered over this appointment. Her kids are already home schooled. Yet she seems so defensive of our public schools which she already seems to deem terrible.

To be fair she is the worst appointment thus far.

No, I prefer to raise non-serial killers.

We did for two years. Well my wife did. She is awsome. She has no college.
we did it because one of my children had fallen behind.
Short version is my wife got him up to speed and on level with his class.

Don't have kids, but public education is terrible for children. Congrats on the kid who won't be able to read a map or critically think. They'll be able to tell you about the best drugs and who can drink the most. You know, the most important things in life.
