Do you find it rude when other employees speak a foreign language in your presence?

An issue was made about this today.

It's no big deal to me. If two people are having a conversation amongst each other exclusively, even if it is in a public place such as the break room, then what difference does it make?

Nah. I've reached the point in my work life that whatever works to get shite done and keep it efficient wins. All day.

I usually make a racist comment about it, but no, it doesn't bother me. I know they're talkin' shite.

If they are talking shite in front of you and they won't say it to your face - they are scared anyways, so who cares?

When Texicans speak Texican around me, I sometimes glance over and do a fake chuckle as to imply I, too, speak Texican. Seems to temper their shite talk about me.

It has never bothered me. I speak cajun french with my assistant when we are talking about some of the dumbasses I employ.

This. It irritated me at first when I was working in Hungary and two people would break off in Hungarian when I was trying to work through something with them. I'm sure there were some stupid american comments in there, but 97% of it was just the better English speaker making sure the person who didn't speak English as well understood. I can handle that in the name of getting shite done.
