Do you ever add salespeople who solicit your business to social media?

i always go to add them on linkedin and have about a 50/50 success rate in them accepting the invitation. i never check or really use linkedin, so it's just a random social experiment/test. seems weird that a salesperson would reject that invite. anybody else do this? i'm just curious
anybody else ever try on other forms of social media? i think i may start adding them on facebook as another social experiment

Perhaps they just generally started ignoring those linkedin invites. Site seems mostly a waste, and they could have figured that out and some point, but still show up on it.

i mostly ignore them only b/c linkedin has no real use for me in my current position, but i'd imagine it may help someone in sales? i dunno
i've never done sales

That's weird if they don't accept or have something to hide. I'm in sales and will always accept invites from customers.

Have you ever been SOLD ON anything through linkedin?

LSUs career services department acts as if having a linkedin account is just as vital to a career as a college degree or being a skilled worker is

And the true motive appears.

Most people on LinkedIn don't check it so they might not know about the request

It depends on if I use the sales person on a regular basis. I hate when someone comes in to sell me something that I tell them I will never buy then the next day I get a linkedin request. I never add them.

No, but there are 2-3 wealth management companies in town that target attorneys, and I get a Linkedin request once a month from some advisor. It's like a rotation of them calling, me blowing them off, then a new one tries to add me on Linkedin or FB the following month and the cycle starts over.
Annoying as shite business practice, IMO.
