WTF?? Build a wood box, dig a hole, and lay them to rest. Where does too expensive for burial come into play.

Burying cost money? Just bury it in your back yard.

People build a box for the pet? I've always just dug hole and put it in the hole. Throw some dirt on top and then put a brick or flower pot on top.

dig a hole, put rock on top. Even if I wanted to throw it away that would smell really bad

Buried my first pet last year, an awesome Pug who lived 15 years.

I fricking sobbed and sobbed like a baby when I was digging the hole.

Well, they would have done the burying, which I think is why it cost so much.

They would have chunked it in the garbage and laughed all the way to the bar with your money to "bury" you beloved pet.

My in-laws and my nephew spent 1 1/2 hours burying my in-law's dog last Thursday, she was hit by a car. The next day my mother in law called me and asked if I would go to their house and unbury it so they could take it to be creamated. Good thing she was in a box, it wasn't to bad.

Cremate and bury. We have a spot on my parent's property that we buried them. The thing now is that my mom wants to sell. The land will no doubt be used for commercial and I'm not too thrilled with their resting place being messed up like that. Part of me wants to dig up and move and part wants to let them be.
