Do Russian history students learn about WWII the other way around?

Western students are generally taught that the most important point of the war was Dday and basically Russia helped in keeping Hitler occupied while the Westerners ran through Europe and won the war.
The truth is basically the other way around, Russia did way more damage to Hitler than all the other Allies combined, Hitler was close to defeat by the time Dday happened.
Anyone know what the Russians are taught? I'm guessing for them the "turning point" of WWII would be Stalingrad? Do they even learn or care about Dday?

Technically, Russia was on the winning side.

Well that would be when they won the war pretty much, I think (or hope) most westerners recognize that sack of Berlin as the unofficial end of the Nazis

in India, we were taught World war as japanese woke up a sleeping giant in US.
We were also taught that Indian soldiers fought on front lines for British. As usual British did not keep the promises made to India. Don't see how they believed Brits when they been lying to you for 40 years

Yes, because they are in a different hemisphere.

All they care about is hanging off tall buildings and streaming themselves having sex.

In Russia it isn't called World War 2, it's called the Great Patriotic War. I've never taken a history class there but I would assume they are taught that it was primarily a German-Russian affair, with the Western countries getting beaten badly up front, and then showing up again right at the end to try and steal all the credit after Russia had done all the heavy lifting. From their point of view, you have to admit that is kind of correct.

Well they did but I saw a stat somewhere that like
40,000/55,000 captured Indian troops in WWII flipped sides and fought for the Axis

Honestly, I wonder if they are taught about Stalin killing hundreds of his officers?

I would think this as well.

WW2 was much more complex than what is written is western history. The common German people were struggling to feed their self, and the rich elite was shafting them hard. They didn't wake up one day and target the Jewish people for fun. Now, extremism won, which is terrifying, but the elite Jewish population during the era had a hand in starving the common German, which fueled the revolution, and rise of Hitler. Of course, us killing off the powers that be in WW1 didn't help. Point being, you can only steal form the poor for so long before something bad happens. France is another example. Their Queens head was separated from her body because she was a crook.

I think this is partially correct. "The Great Patriotic War" refers to Russia's specific fight on the eastern front against the invading Germans right?
They wouldn't include Dday in "The Great Patriotic War"

Interesting.
But did the Russians fight Japan?
like, They went balls out against Germany but did they assist on other fronts?
