Do light spots on a Barbour jacket indicate the need for a re-wax?

Noticing lighter colored areas on the elbows of my Beaufort. Jacket is a few years old. I assume it might be time for re-wax?

Are they whiteish? You could spot treat them not re treat the coat honestly buy time by just using minkoil inareas to touch up before your you strip & and rewax the coat

Thanks. Do you send it to the center in NH?

Elbows look a little bronze-ish compared to the rest of the coat.

Yes, that's indicative that you need to give it a new coat of wax.

Should probably do that every three winters or so. I hunt in mine, so it wears out even faster, but a new dressing of wax will make it like new.

What's the cost on a new wax? It's been a few years on mine.

Do any of you do it yourselves?

Yes I have. Get the spray. Spray liberally and use a hair dryer to preheat and to get the spray to absorb into the jacket. It will look great in short order. The hairdryer is the trick.

I must be out of the loop or just don't care anymore... I had to Google Barbour jackets...

No way I'm paying 200 bucks, the cheapest I've seen, for that pos looking jacket...

Any time your supposed to re-wax the jacket = buy a new jacket as the one you have is dirt shite old and worn out.
