DMV Offices Closed on Fat Tuesday?

Just tried to go run up to the DMV to get something taken care of and the damn office was closed for Fat Tuesday. This is in north Louisiana where there is not a very big Catholic presence at all and everybody is at work. Hell, the schools aren't even closed. I just find it fricking ridiculous that things like the DMV are closed.

It's the DMV. I doubt you would have gotten much better results if they had been open.
