It says " The owner of this channel has removed it from DIRECTV line-up despite our repeated requests to keep it available to you". Anyone know what's going with this BS?

I feel like this happens every year when their contract is renegotiated.

We had the same issue with WSB-2 here in ga. Give it a day or so and it will all be back to business as usual.

Not a big fan of WBRZ as I am of WAFB expect for Chris Nakamoto , I enjoy watching his investigative reports

It'll probably be back on in a few days.

I've got an antenna with the am-21 on DIRECTV & they are blocking that also (ch 2-1). I always thought that was the way around them pulling local channels off. Guess not.

Both sides have to make it look like they're doing you a favor.

It is a relatively common thing that happens when the contract between the provider (DIRECTV) and the local affiliate is being negotiated. Usually they don't agree and this happens, enough people complain, and they figure it out. Like High C said, both sides will tell you that they are watching out for you and will tell you to go complain to the other side.

I lost NBC last fall for the same reason, and couldn't watch Sunday Night Football. Was not happy.

Remember when local channels were free because the commercials paid the bills? Now we pay for channels, watch commercials, and still can't watch when they squabble over the profit.

It's amazing this does not happen with Cox.

Try re-installing/setting up the am-21. My am-21 & antenna has always worked during contract disputes

They still are free if you have an antenna.

Had the same issue a few weeks ago with ATT U-verse. I didn't have Channel 9 for months. Man I was missing the Diane Deaton Morning Show.

For those of you with antenna issues, make sure your antenna can pick up VHF and UHF. Everybody in the BTR market is UHF save for WAFB and WBRZ. WAFB is still on Channel 9, while WBRZ is actually on Channel 13. Your TV does the conversions. A UHF cut antenna would have a hard time seeing 2 and 9.
