Like ULM, but not quite as good.

Looks like there's more people on the floor than in the stands.

Technically, it's the Empty Stands at Lafayette.

It has always struck me as odd there is a Louisiana State University but no University of Louisiana. I can't think of another state that has done this.

Traditionally the University of whatever goes to the most competitive school in that system. I think that would be Tech, UNO or ULM in this case.

So you're saying that when most universities we have now were first being founded in the 18th & 19th centuries, the forefathers of these schools had the foresight to know which ones would be more "competitive" than the others?

I never seen the big deal and didn't understand by LSU fans got so bent out of shape. If they were truly 'big brother' than you would think they would have laughed more than getting jimmy rustled. While the original 'University of Louisiana' in uptown Nola gave zero shits.

Oh and as much shite as I give Lafy folks, I'm sorry ULM but you couldn't give degrees out for free and have someone move there over Lafayette, and Lafy isn't some Mecca either.

Sports wise I think ULL may have already found their peak and may be finally coming to terms with what everyone else already knows.... it follows the same bell curve as fashion trends in Lafy. Like someone once said, it's the place that fashion trends catch on 10 years past when they were in style and stay 10 years longer than anywhere else. It's a truely awkward place.

Hudspeth and Ol' Tony I think was the peak of ULL in the SunBelt

That the University of moniker goes to the most competitive school in the system traditionally. Even if the the UL system were like that, ULL would not be that school.
