Not sure if you're ignorant, or a troll.

Is that the kind of thing you should be doing yourself? Just asking, maybe that's the usual procedure, but seems like something a pro ought to do

if yout not already on a pump yes it is something a dr needs to teach you to do. Since i am already on one i don't have to go through all that crap again.

Good question though.

I just got diagnosed a month or so ago as a type 1 at 32....was in diabetic ketoacidosis....had to spend 3 nights in the hospital...currently on shots but was thinking about the pump but I agree that I don't want something stuck in me all the time...has anyone looked into afrezza? It's inhaled versus injected...that would cut me down to 1 shot a day instead of 4

I beleive afrezza is for type 2 only but i am not postive.

The pump is the way to go once you get it figured out it makes my life so much more easier. I do not have the high and lows like before with shots. Getting insulin all day verses a shot running out is much better.

I use and omnipod. I like that it doesn't have any tubing and I don't have to worry about it getting wet, showering, swimming, etc. Don't use the CGM. I haven't really heard of anyone having much success with them.

I know several people who use this. I don't want to change my stuff every 3 days and with that you do. Also it is very bulky and i think it would get in the way. with the medtronic at least i know i can get it out my way.

Holler at me if you need any help or advice. I've been type 1 almost 20 years now. Ive DKA'd twice. That shite is not fun!

I'm sure the others will agree in helping you out. It's a transition for sure but once you get the hang of it it's easy to manage.

Good luck to you
