Denver isn't a bad city, it's just got the mountains to the West which is the real reason people go to Colorado. Any city would be a letdown.

This. Even in Colorado Springs it is getting worse and worse. And a lot of these homeless are young and able bodied. But they are clearly making a lifestyle choice and don’t want to do anything else.

I'm from Denver and you have no idea what you're talking about.
Denver was overrun with younger people that showed up with no job, just a sign begging for money for pot.
