quote:

Heuser told his story to Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic, explaining that he was on a train in Reno, Nevada, earlier this year when a DEA agent knocked on the door of his sleeper car and began interrogating him about trafficking drugs.

According to Heuser, the agent proceeded to intimidate and bully him into complying with an unreasonable search of his belongings. When Heuser resisted the violation of his Fourth Amendment rights, the agent pressed harder, eventually forcing him out of the car while officers looked through Heuser's backpack and other possessions. When he returned, something was gone.

quote:

“I found my backpack moved and open, and my wallet, which was set down on the room table, had $60 missing,” Heuser told The Atlantic

quote:

Heuser's story sounds even shadier than that, because he makes no mention of the DEA leaving him with any documentation of an official seizure, as the agency would be required to do; he told The Atlantic he didn't bother to file a complaint because he figured it would be pointless. At any rate, perhaps an official seizure of $60 would be more offensive than realizing an agent had just swiped all of the cash out of your wallet.

Maybe just fly instead?

When I was a kid I thought trains were the coolest thing in the world, the only train I'll ever ride:

I don't know if "let" is the right word, more like "was forced". He didn't consent to any search.

He was probably on his way to buy $60 worth of weed. These agents may have saved his life.

We used to ship dope up and down the coast on the L.A.–Seattle train. No cops, no dogs, it was easy. Still, this guy got punk'd, serves him right for not getting names, badge numbers, etc.

back in my day we used to sneak 60 dollars worth of drugs up our butt and sell it to our friends in high school. The only way you could get your package is if you knew the password or was willing to give me a hj/bj just so I knew you weren't a cop. Now a days things have changed with trains, planes, and cars taking all the fun out it.
I remember one guy saying I can't remember the password and there's no way I'm sucking your Halloween snicker dick, and was like dude do you want some molly or nah? He got his brother to do it and I wasn't mad, I just never did business with the guy. Till this day his brother comes knocking on my door to blow me.
You see its hard to let go of old friends, sometimes things don't change and moments are worth cherishing. 60 dollars back then could get you anything especially hookers and blow, but today you'd have to chose between the two.
You see what I'm trying to say is that to solve for a right triangle you need to find the hypotenuse, not get high on potenuse!

my point was that there's a chance they may not have even been DEA agents
