FWIW this is second hand info from my wife... so there could be a high level of unwarranted freakout in it.

FBI took it serious enough to alert TPSO and Hammond PD.
ETA: I'm pretty far out of the info loop here, but supposedly they have been investigating and on alert at the Hammond area High schools.

from what I know, there was someone who expressed over social media that he was bombing Hammond high. He was arrested earlier, though.

There was an article on WAFB earlier that said all Hammond schools were on lockdown because of possible threats, but they said someone was arrested for the threats about 2 hours ago.

I go to southeastern and work at the REC center across from the UC. Everything is fine here and people are working out. Threats were made earlier but they arrested someone.
