That's more effort than most guys make. Most people I knew just asked in the hallway between classes or over the phone.

Same here.
Looking at the videos on the side this is apparently a thing these days though. I don't know who I feel sorry for more. The guys who now have to put in this ridiculous effort just to ask someone to prom or the girls who are stuck having to say yes because some guy took it to wedding proposal type levels.

I have to give it to the kid for how mature and calm he acted. Pretty sure he is gay tho (not that there's anything wrong with that) and that's why the girl didn't even suspect that the signs were put up by the guy who was, you know, right next to her..
I like how he even gave /r/cringe permission to make fun of him on there. They initially took it down because they didn't know if they were 18 but he told them they were both 18 and to have at it.
