It's California so no surprise but anyway...
The Border Patrol is looking for a few good men and women -- but not angry confrontation, and that concern is what prompted the agency to back out of a college job fair.
Accusing the federal agency charged with protecting U.S. borders of “unjust killings, …. racial profiling, use of force, and unjust violence,” protesters at University of California-Irvine succeeded in stopping the Border Patrol from taking part in a weekend career fair - and blocked students from learning more about a possible job opportunity.
“having Border Patrol agents on campus is a blatant disregard to undocumented students’ safety and well-being” and is insulting to “mixed-status families.”

this seems like the Border Patrol didn't really want to go since the university didn't tell them they couldn't come and the petition was only signed by 600 people, and most of them were not even students

If ten percent of that 600 showed up and protested it would ruin your recruiting efforts. They would shout you down all day. I can see why they might not want to waste their time.

This is the same school that banned the American flag in their union. I also believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that this is the same school where the student council was filmed saying they didn't think it was right for a jewish student to hold a council position.

There's a good chance we could play them in a regional or super regional. I think "Border Patrol Appreciation Day" would be appropriate.

Racial profiling....meaning they target Mexicans at the Mexican border wherewhere Mexicans cross into the country illegally?
