So nickel version, I had my 6 yr old dtr (her first bball league ever) registered with ascension youth (we live in Prairieville) the coach we got was horrible with communication (didn't tell us practice was cancelled twice over last two weeks, wouldn't return calls etc). So I'm pulling her out.

I'm looking to see if there are any leagues out there still registering or that woud have a spot for her. Like I said this is her first bball exp but played soccer at Y over summer.

Interested in BR area although would be open to prairieville and gonzales area.

TIa!!

just because she isn't good doesn't give that coach reason not to tell her about practice. that's pitiful.

Lol. There are other issues in play. I will say was pretty impressed after I told the league what happened how quickly they acted and refunded my money. Opens the door to considering them in future. Maybe we just got a bad deal at coach.

She's not pitiful just inexperienced and maybe a little timid. She goes to a school with a 140 kindergartners. She is the tallest kid. Not girl. Tallest kid. I'm 6'4"

She turned 6 in early Nov and is pushing 4 ft 4.

i'm just busting your balls. all I want for my girls is to wear a dress and have me a few grandbabies. I want them to stay away from sports as much as possible but they play basketball. I don't want them to dip Copenhagen and bring home a chick friend named stevie for me to meet.

We're not moving any time soon. PVM is her middle school tho and hopefully it's a long way away. Not ready to talk middle school just yet but yeah she's got height.

Being a coach in the area we all do not like AYBA. It's the downfall of Ascension Parish basketball. Good coaches are few and far between. You are better off finding a league in EBR until AYS reforms how they run their league. Have you guys ever been to a Dutchtown girls game?

The City Ball (Gonzales) is usually better.
