How does revealing where she retrieved the gun from compromise the investigation in any way? What is the problem with Chickman saying that? There's a TON of other speculative comments in this thread - he was banging every nurse, lost his privileges, beat the first wife, sociopath, she's a gold digger, she's got the crazy eyes, etc. - but where the gun can from causes a problem for you?

Saying what a first responder says isn't exactly speculative. If they wanted that to be out, it would be.

It's safe to assume that it's pretty much "out" about 15 seconds after "first responder" decides to tell a buddy, or however long it takes said buddy to mass text his buddies.

I don't know these people and have no idea what happened. Maybe he's been abusing her for years and she finally had enough. Maybe he found out she was fricking around and was about to throw her off the gravy train. Maybe she was inspired by Phil Hartman's crazy wife and shot the poor bastard while he was sleeping.
She's the only one left who knows exactly what happened that night, but before too very long, STSO should have a pretty accurate idea of what took place and she'll be charged, or not charged, as appropriate.
