High school history text now includes the Covid pandemic. Without knowing what they wrote, what would you add about Covid for future generations?

My kids don’t even use books at school. Everything is printed in handouts or online. 5th grade they get chromebooks

It wasn’t just a cold for everyone, but it also was blown out of proportion

My parents, not vaccinated, just had Covid last week. Mom had the sniffles and dad had a rough go of it. He has has COPD and still smokes two packs a day. Oh, he also had MS.
A cold.
A cold.

There were many idiots who wore a mask because they were worried about their health yet weighed over 300 pounds and rode a scooter.

1: Covid-19 was a respiratory illness caused by a virus that was leaked from a bioweapons lab in China. Primarily, the deaths occurred in the elderly in hospice or end-of-life care.
2: Deaths attributed to Covid-19 were adjudicated with one factor: Is the deceased person positive for Covid-19? It didn't matter if they died in a car accident or from cancer. If their dead body tested positive for Covid-19, it was considered a Covid-19 death for statistical purposes by the CDC and WHO. These skewed statistics were used to manipulate the public.

I would say it will be viewed by history just as any of the other pandemics or plagues are viewed. It killed a shitload of people (both directly and indirectly) and we were totally unprepared for it.
It is a sad fact, but we will say the same thing about the next pandemic as well…

A Chinese lab engineered version of corona virus leaked and spread across the globe. It was very dangerous in early mutations for people with co-morbidities such as old age, obesity, or heart and lung disease. Healthy and young individuals were spared deadly outcomes. Quickly, the virus mutated to be a common cold, but the world still scared, continued shutting down, thus destroying lives and economies.

My wife and I just got it for the first time over NYE weekend. It knocked us both out hard for 3 or 4 days. I sure underestimated it. It was certainly not just a head cold or the sniffles.
It’s been 11 days and I’m just now getting my taste back, brain fog and fatigue are finally gone. Real bad shite. Sickest I’ve been in 20 years. I could see how it could take out old people or smokers.

History books. Wow. I’ve tested positive for that stuff 4 times. Several of my coworkers have it right now. Just another virus we all have to deal with. The flu kills people every year so I see this to be about the same. The word books seems weird to me. My kids never brought home books the last decade. Everything they did was online.

It gave hard earned money to companies that did not need it. They kept it. Because the government that you entrust and pay taxes to didn't require it back if you didn't need it.

Were either or both of you vaccinated? Boosted? How often?
