This is a much better approach than the "everyone look at me" approach done in public.

Violently confronting them in public is not the answer. Most of them doing this have some mental problems of one sort or another.

I don't recall ever meeting this dude. But holy hell! I guess he's of the mindset that says "go big or go home". Not only is he "stealing valor" he's doing it by pretending to be a freaking brigadier general and riding in the Patriot Guard which is made up of probably 75% veterans.

So instead of dressing up and going down to the local mall to try and impress a bunch of civilians who don't know enough about the military to know he's FOS, this guys dressing up and trying to impress veterans and bikers who can spot a bullshitter from a mile away. He's either crazy, stupid, or has balls of stainless steel.

Looks like he was in the army for at least a while though. According to the article I see he was an MP and eventually was kicked out for going AWOL. Also looks like the highest rank he achieved was PFC (E3).

What a dumbass. He should know it's quite easy to find someone's military record.

Yeah - a tip for all you wanna be "Valor Stealers" - don't claim to be a general or have won the CMH - that's so easy to check out, a Democrat can do it.

No - what you want to claim is - E-6 or, if you insist on being an "officer" ( ) - don't claim higher than lieutenant colonel - and captain or major would probably be better. Not going to raise any eyebrows and the intartubes will not betray you.

As far as medals - Silver Star is a nice, innocuous medal, but is for valor. Real vets will be impressed and there isn't an easy way to prove you're a liar.

I've been active with the Patriot Guard for quite a while now. I'm pretty sure there's been "missions" we've both attended. But these things can be anywhere from about 10 riders to over 50 riders sometimes.

All this makes me wonder what's wrong with this dude. He had to know the truth would come out.

This is the part that amazes me about these guys. I'm thinking they probably start off their fantasy with a small lie, get away with it at first and continually add more and more to it until it blows up in their face.

It would be pretty easy to compound a lie.."I see you were in the __ did you ever __?" I would imagine most people would not expect you to say "Oh yeah..So was my __...He has never heard of you and we have seen your DD-214"
